Supporting Your Body, the Holistic Way
If you're dealing with chronic aches, joint stiffness, or skin flare-ups, inflammation may be playing a bigger role than you realize. While inflammation is part of the body’s natural healing process, chronic inflammation can lead to fatigue, pain, and even long-term disease.
The good news? You don’t have to turn to medications right away! Nature has given us some powerful tools to calm the fire from the inside out.
Here are three of my favorite natural anti-inflammatories I recommend to my patients at Holistic Rose Wellness:
🐟 1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Think of omegas as oil for your joints and nervous system! Found in wild-caught salmon, sardines, walnuts, flaxseeds, and high-quality fish oil supplements, omega-3s help lower inflammation, reduce joint pain, and even support brain and heart health.
If you're not getting fatty fish in at least twice a week, I usually suggest adding a daily omega-3 supplement. Just make sure it’s third-party tested for purity — not all fish oils are created equal!
Umbrella meta‑analysis across multiple populations
A broad meta‑analysis incorporating 32 meta‑analyses found that omega‑3 supplementation significantly lowers inflammatory biomarkers in adults—specifically:
CRP (C‑reactive protein): effect size ≈ –0.40
TNF‑α: ≈ –0.23
IL‑6: ≈ –0.22(p < 0.01 for all)
🌱 2. Moringa Leaf
Moringa has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and for good reason. It's packed with antioxidants, vitamins A, C, and E, plus anti-inflammatory compounds that work at the cellular level.
Whether you're battling skin conditions, sluggish energy, or swelling in the body, moringa is one of those gentle-yet-powerful herbs that can help rebalance and nourish from within. I like to add moringa powder to smoothies or sip it as a tea in the afternoon.
✨ 3. Turmeric (Curcumin)
If you’ve heard of turmeric for inflammation, you’re already on the right track! The active compound, curcumin, is a powerful, well-studied natural anti-inflammatory shown to support everything from joint pain to gut health and even liver function.
But curcumin on its own isn’t easily absorbed by the body — that’s where the right formulation makes all the difference. One of my go-to recommendations is Turmeric Forte, a professional-grade supplement that combines turmeric rhizome with fenugreek seed extract to dramatically boost absorption.
In fact, a clinical study found that this curcumin-fenugreek formulation had 24.8 times the bioavailability of standard curcumin — that means your body actually gets to use it!
Turmeric Forte helps:
Support a healthy inflammatory response*
Maintain healthy joints and mobility*
Aid liver function and digestion*
Provide antioxidant activity*
This formula is standardized to ensure consistent strength and quality, so you’re getting the full benefit of turmeric’s most active compounds. I keep Turmeric Forte in stock in my clinic, and it’s also available through my virtual dispensary if you'd rather have it shipped straight to your door.
The Importance of a Holistic Approach
When it comes to managing inflammation, a holistic approach is key. It’s not just about taking supplements. It’s about understanding your body and how it reacts to different foods and lifestyle choices.
Nutrition Matters
Eating a balanced diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods can make a significant difference. Incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats into your meals. These foods can help reduce inflammation and promote overall health.
Lifestyle Changes
In addition to nutrition, consider other lifestyle changes. Regular exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management techniques can all contribute to reducing inflammation. Simple activities like walking, yoga, or meditation can have profound effects on your body’s inflammatory response.
Personalized Care
Everyone’s body is different. That’s why I believe in personalized care. If you're ready to get to the root of your inflammation, I’d love to create a customized nutrition and supplement plan just for you!
Let’s schedule a time to create a personalized supplement plan that gives your body the support it truly needs. You can also browse the professional-grade supplements I keep in the office or visit my virtual dispensary online at your convenience.
Final Thoughts
Supporting your body naturally doesn’t have to be complicated. Small changes — like adding anti-inflammatory foods and herbs to your daily routine — can have a big impact on how you feel over time.
You don’t have to do it alone! Let’s build a plan that helps you move, feel, and live better — naturally.
With love and wellness,
